I've said for a long time I want Jonathan Pie for Prime Minister.

Not the actor behind the character.

The character.

Let's be honest, he couldn't do much of a worse job.

What every politician fails to realise is that politics is ridiculous by design. Particularly in the UK. You only need to watch an episode (?) of PMQ's to see just how silly the whole thing is.

When comedians are capable of cutting through the bullshit more effectively than the people in charge of the public purse - and the nuclear codes - then we have reached peak absurdity.

When Prime Ministers can be in charge for less time than it takes a head of lettuce to rot, when the whole media machine is owned by vested foreign interests and is geared towards destabilising PMs from day one, their bold promises of a 10 year plan to right the wrongs of previous governments seem more farce than fact.

I'm ready to concede defeat. Fill the House of Commons with comedians. Let them battle it out in an extended episode of Taskmaster. No more parties. Whoever wins can be the UK's new Supreme Ruler. The first job will be dissolving the monarchy. They haven't laughed in hundreds of years (apart from when Harry first introduced them to his missus, because racism will always be funny to those wretched lizard-folk).

After that, make Binface Deputy PM because he predicted all of this before anyone else, and then set about the task to Make Britain Fun Again.

Or if not 'again', then for the first time.

We will crash and burn for sure, but we will do it laughing.

That's an apocalypse I can get behind.

Phenomenal Monster Magnet reference, a combination of topics I never thought I'd see 😂 Completely agree with your views on MM, though I think Look to Your Orb for the Warning is also phenomenal. Remember hearing that on the first Matrix soundtrack and being blown away by the first riff's guitar tone.
